anything i can do, she can do better

she decorates cakes.
bakes.
oil paints.
blows glass beads.
makes gum paste flowers.
quilts.
creates jewelry.
sculpts clay.

but best of all, mama bear was a utah state sewing champion. (we're talking the 60s  people -when the competition in the domestic capital of the world was STIFF.) we have the velvet dresses/ drapes/ baby blankets/ quilts/ prom dresses/ and throw pillows to prove it.

right now, i'm so in love with the pillows she made for our flat i can barely stand it. piped and plumped to perfection.

the only thing i like more than "do-it-myself" is "do-it-momself," cause anything i can do she can do better.

Um, I must see said pillows and the new furniture arrangement (although I guess it's not really 'new' anymore!).

Ain't that the truth! Our moms are one in the same. Curtains, drapes, pillows, wedding decorations and flowers, holiday decor, you name it, they can do it to prefection.

This will definitely come in handy when we start decorating for real in a couple months!
