i think i've been subtle

but it's clearly not working.

london is great.
but it's a little lonely.
and even though i've been doing hour-long video chats with this one.
and not so long skype calls with this one ...

I REALLY NEED YOU TO COME VISIT.
i'm just a little lonesome.

and lonely isn't really my bag. i like people. i reallllllly like people. i like being around them. i like talking to them. i like cuddling with them. i like everything about people (well, that's not entirely true) ... but what is true is that i need you to come and stay.
give me a week to get a couch. we're a little low on furniture at the moment, but your air mattress is on it's way, and that's all you really need, right?

so, when can you come?

p.s. want to know what friends are for? a special little email from ajs with this pic made me approx 7.65% less lonely tonight. keep em coming!

and whitney told me her meatballs were asking for me BY NAME, and that's impressive because george only has a vocabulary of like 100 words.

We are planning on a visit in the next year. It'll be sooner if you volunteer to babysit at least a night or two so we can go out on the town! :)

Hey - we miss you too. Your name comes up almost daily at work....all good things (I promise). The other day we talked about the 100 calorie bread you found. Also your sense of style, you at workout group...the stories are endless. Hang in there - you'll have a whole new set of friends and forget about us before you know it =)

So, while we're in Senegal, if we have any medical problems they send us to London. My current plan is to get non-threatening colds that they can't diagnose in Dakar. Also, non-contagious colds. So we'll see you every so often...
