i was right...

i'd just as soon remove my own cavities with a dinner fork than go to a dentist or doctor again. i've suffered enough fools.

it's a hotly debated issue in our home - visiting the doctor.
which i refuse to do.
however, in light of our upcoming transatlantic relocations, i gave in and stopped by every quack i could schedule.

and the results?

the dentist didn't grind the fillings down far enough and now my nerve endings are bumped and rattled daily sending electric shocks into my jaw bone.

the physical therapist was "fixing a small SI joint problem" and has basically rendered me UNABLE TO WALK. the pain in my left hip is so terrible i'm now a 80 year old struggling on staircases.

so next time mr. lybbert decides i need to see a doctor, i'm saying no thanks.

* angelique (the doctor sister), you'll need to find a way to fix these things when i get home.... in the mean time, any one have any tips for overcoming sharp hip pain caused by a physical therapist?

You know what they say: "If it ain't broke, don't fix it." Which I agree with in general except for the dentist. Cavities are stealthy little things and have a way of growing quietly behind your back until one day your tooth blows up and you need a root canal. I know about this, I HATE going to the dentist. Even though my husband is one.

Go up to said physical therapist and give them a good kick.
Caution: Could cause more pain in the hip, but you will feel much better :)

Hope you feel better!
