I've been keeping myself busy in between job interviews.
Found this little gem on craigslist:

and turned it into this:
(Don't judge me cause we're not fully moved in yet!)
Out of curiosity- how much would you pay for this solid wood green desk?
And if you want to do it yourself:
1. find a wood item on craigslist (for cheap)
2. pick out a color of interior paint - I got the primer, color, semi-gloss in one. We got a gallon, but only needed a quart to do this desk (we'll be painting lots of things green)
3. clean off craiglist item.
4. apply first coat, we used rollers for a) speed and b) texture - wait 2 hours, apply second coat
ENJOY!

i want this desk! (does this mean you're selling it? because i'm interested in maybe buying it if you are.)
Impressive. Maybe you should start a little craigs list renovation business.
kind of like aunt wendy's ebay business?
The amount I would pay would depend in part on what the drawers were lined with... a cute patterned paper on the inside would help it go a long way.
its so so cute. so cute. great color noni. does that go in my room??
very cute. LOVE the green.
ok, you are now officially an expert so.....did you have to sand any finish off of it? or did you just paint straight onto it? we have this dresser which I HATE because it needs to be painted or refinished or something (it was free so I can't complain). the finish is peeling off (so gross). do i have to sand it first?
this had already been sanded so we were in the clear- but yes, if your dresser has a finishe or stain on it, it's best to rough it up a bit with sand paper before painting. even though it makes the process infinitely longer, it's totally worth it.
happy painting.
xoxo
it is absolutely perfect! worth the wait.
I like the desk. If it were C&B or PB, they'd charge $300 easily.
