I Have Terrible News ....

Despite my best efforts, I did not win the New York mega millions $225 million jack pot this week.

But I did dream all the way to the Four Seasons Restaurant today about what I would do with the $125 million ( after taxes).

1. Buy my parents house but let them live there, but redo the deck and the kitchen.

2. Give each Nicolai and Lybbert family member a large chunk-o-change - plus Uncle Dickie.

3. Keep my part time event planning job for the fun of it.

4. Travel the world with Matt for a year - including extended stays in Italy, Portugal, Thailand, Australia, and Pakistan.

5. Go back to school and be a student forever

6. Get a personal trainer named Jillian or Bob

7. Buy everything I ever wanted at Anthro (maybe if it wasn't on sale!)

8. Pay off what I owe on my car

9. Buy an apartment in NYC

10. Buy a ski house in Utah

11. Get Matt the watch he's been wanting

12. Enjoy the time off

13. Maybe open a store or some sort that sold things that I like ... like naps. Maybe a store that sold 20 minute naps where you had a great little bed, with music of your choice, dimmed lighting, your own temperature controls and a wake up call. I would call it NAP SACKS. Of course, no naps over 60 minutes and no sharing nap sacks - IT'S STRICTLY FOR SLEEPING.

14. Pay off Angelique's med-school debt

15. Get a new i-pod and load it with all the songs I want - even the $1.29 songs

16. A subscription to Lucky magazine, AND buying my favorite item from the magazine each month

17. Flower classes at Tudor City - so I could make daily arrangements for the apartment we buy

18. Donate many a dollar to BYU - probably the football program so Matt could have a box or tickets whenever he wanted - and maybe a practice facility named after him?

19. Have a garden installed wherever I live with a blackberry bush

20. Throw an "it's not our wedding, but it's still fun to plan parties so I invited you all back to new york to celebrate with us again" party - and of course have the team at FE plan it, with the endlessly talented Matthew Robbins designing

Those were just some of the things I came up with. And then I realized I didn't need $125 million - that's RIDICULOUS.

$50 million would suffice.

they did a pool at my work so a group of about 6 of us would share the money if we did it together. we didn't win either though. :/
