The Latte Factor

Oprah, in her infinite financial wisdom, often counsels against a detrimental spending habit that single-handedly will destroy the hopeful saver. (that might be a slight exaggeration) Nonetheless, this factor can drain thousands from an account without detection ...

The Latte Factor.

$3.65 for a double tall triple whipped hot mess of sugar goodness on Monday
$7.79 for a black and white cookie and mocha-frappa-latte-chino-issimo on Tuesday
and so on
and so forth

Before the unaware consumer realizes it hundreds of dollars each month are spend on lattes and cookies. It is not unlike, in the words of Frank Nicolai, "pissing money down the drain."

Matt and I have managed to be aggressive savers while living in NYC. But I have a small problem....

THE PINKBERRY FACTOR.

Green tea yogurt with pomegranate seeds
Pomegranate and green tea yogurt with blackberries and raspberries
Natural yogurt loaded up with every sugary topping in the case

I crave it daily. I walked a mile yesterday to get it. I beg them to deliver.
I'm afraid that Pinkberry might single-handedly lead to the Lybbert Financial Crisis of 09.

I was right there with you while living in NY. But I MUCH prefer Red Mango. Ugh-- anytime they have pomegranate seeds, I can't resist. I will literally be there everyday until I have wiped them out entirely and they can't replenish their pomegranate's until fall. Yum. I miss NY!

I met and fell in love with Pinkberry while in LA a few months back. When I came back home I had to settle for Red Mango (good, but not as good). I'm heading to NYC Friday and stopping by Pinkberry is at the top of my list of things to do. Is that sad? Oh well, it's the truth!
