It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year

Christmas was indeed wonderful this year- great movies (Joyeaux Noel), homemade cinnamon buns, Matt's Costco Christmas, and gearing up for a ski week in Salt Lake at Chateau Lybbert.

But in our celebration and excitement, let us not forget, at this time of year, something else to be grateful for- the after-Christmas sale.

There's nothing I love more than finding a good deal. In the reading of Lucky Style Guide (which I highly recommend) I learned a few important lessons-
1. Don't EVER buy it unless you LOVE it- no matter the price
2. There is ALWAYS a sale to be had.

Take these examples from sales past: JCrew pea coat purchased for Matt a few posts below, or the $9.99 Matchstick jeans I snagged for myself, a $90 Betsey Johnson dress, a $300 Theory suit or $0.01 purchase at Nordstrom - yes, ONE CENT!!! (it was mismarked.)

With the dismal economic news, we all need a little retail therapy (which in turn actually helps the economy). While perusing the internet today I snagged some incredible deals - which will debut shortly. For anyone looking to pass some time, check these out...

- 50% off select sale items (some GREAT ones, including this leifsdottir sweater) at bloomingdales.com

- an extra 25% off your total purchase at revolveclothing.com- use the promo code HOLIDAY08- so pick yourself up one or two of these beautiful blouses ...

- 55% off all full-priced items at chickdowntown.com. if Tevia (Fiddler on the Roof) and I were rich men, i'd buy ...
oh how I love DVF

- 20% (EXTRA20) off JCrew sale, or 30% if you brave the crowds and head into a store.

SHOCKINGLY enough, I was thoroughly disappointed with anthro's online sale and in-store offers.

I'm picking husband up at the train station and we're heading out to hunt down some bargains of our own! HAPPY SHOPPING

xoxo
