siamo arrivati a casa

we're home from a weekend in florence.

if you go, you absolutely must ...
climb the 463 steps of the duomo. take a walk to piazelle michelangelo [and smooch while you're there]. dine at hosteria del bricco. keep an eye out for street performers. jewelry shop on ponte vecchio. eat the biscotti at pasticerria 2000 on via de mezzo. take a photo with il porcellino [and rub his nose so you can come back to florence again]. eat pizza al taglio. listen to ken mercer sing cover songs ALL NIGHT in piazza signoria.

and if you go to bologna and do NOTHING ELSE, you MUST have a slice (or 13) at "i due torri," appropriately named for it's proximity to the 2 towers of bologna. other than pizza arte in rome, it's the best pizza i've had in italy. (and i've had a LOT of pizza).

Florence is definitely one of my top 5 cities. We're planning a Euro trip with the baby in the spring; will you guys still be around? Ci vedremo? Forse?

My goodness, your life is so exciting! Florence. Swoon.
Question: where did you get the cute clothes you're wearing in the third picture? The pink shirt and white/black cardigan? Tell me it was somewhere in America!

Paul just got home from Bologna. He climbed the 500+ steps to the top of the climb-able of the two torres and said it was incredible.

Now we have a reason to go back. And eat more pizza.
