If you can, when you're in Phuket, rent motorbikes and ride around the island. It's a great way to see the less-touristy stuff. You might even get to ride an elephant! Oh, and driving in Bangkok is absolute insanity. Take a few deep breaths before attempting it. Have a fantastic time!
