opinion needed ASAP

hypothetically speaking - if you were dying to own crystal lamps. like your life might end if you didn't have them. would you choose:

a very affordable look-alike version that is literally HALF THE PRICE. ($60)

or the clearly more beautiful and expensive stunning version

that not only would save your life, but MAKE IT BETTER. for twice the price (boo)

i checked Home Goods - NOTHING WORTH BLOGGING ABOUT.
these 2 options are from lampsplus.com

FOR THE RECORD: i have no need for lamps.
i have 5 gorgeous new ones acquired from thrifting and gifting.
but these gems just call to me...

Have you checked out TJ Maxx/Homegoods at the Brickyard? I snagged some square crystal lamps for like $40ish... they have a good variety.

Your eye must be much more refined than mine but I say go for the less expensive. I think it will still give you the look you're going for and still improve your life.

If it were a difference of $1,000 or even something like $200 or $300, I'd say go for the lookalike. However, a difference of $60 would make me choose the real deal, which will last longer, will look more beautiful longer (seeing as it already looks better to start), and which you will truly love and appreciate longer.

since its only a difference of $60, I say go with the real ones too. We need to start buying nicer quality items as we get older. Don't you think? In 20 years you will not remember $120. But you will remember if you're still looking at something you love--that lasts.

I guess you also need to consider how well they're made. I assume the more $$ ones will have a higher quality standard.

Can you share where you found the two pictured, pls? I've been feeling the same 'need' in my life :)

You will most definitely find those at your local HomeGoods. Lately, they have also had the gourd lamps like in the picture of the couch below.

i have seen similar ones to this at tj maxx, which means that they were original in the $120 price range at one time. i would go with the $60 ones, your style is bound to change over time and $60 dollars is a reasonable investment and also allows for style adjustment.
