After 38 years of listening to that song, I finally figured out what the "scary ghost stories" is referring to. "A Christmas Carol" by Charles Dickens, of course! Marley and Marley are VERY scary ghosts! ;o)
I may be the only person on the planet who didn't already know that...please don't comment with a "duh!"...
