Meet Drew ...

Friendly fellow that he is.
Drew and I happened to grow up in the same town.
We happened to go to school together from 89-02, and happened to be to in Rome at the same time whilst in college.

And what night he happened to save me from some inebriated Italians (and sacrificed a few good teeth, and vision out of his left eye for a while to do it)

...

And despite all the coincidences, Drew happened to become one of the most generous and caring people I know. (far more than I) So it must not have been the town, or the school or Italy that made him that way.

Now, he writes for Kiva - a group that lets you provide micro loans to budding entrepreneurs in developing countries.

Specifically, he writes about Josephine. And while he doesn't need to fend of inebriated Italians to help her, he is trying to trumpet her cause. Selling vegetables, fruits, and raising hogs to support her family.
