I started another blog. It's not for anyone to read.
Which seems ironic - if I didn't want anyone to read it, why would I
1) start it and
2) tell you about it.
I started it so that I could hold myself publicly accountable.
I have to be honest - there's a common misconception about me. People think I'm a motivated person. I'm not motivated, just highly obligated. I've intentionally steered clear of "independent study" courses and "DIY" projects that require regular and consistent effort. My own husband has called me a "flash in the pan." {OUCH}
I once had a financial accountability friend - who coincidentally enough was also a fitness accountability friend and a did you go to church for all 3 hours this week friend. While I may not have been motivated to do those things on my own - her encouragement, and ultimately, my obligation to answer those questions - kept me on the elliptical an extra 15 minutes and paying down some irresponsible college spending I had racked up. (i've been shopping sober since ... sort of)
And so, I'm accountable, starting today ....
I don't have a game plan yet. That's also yet to come. But I'm throwing this out there, for anyone on the other end of the blogosphere to catch ...
The second half of my 25th year is going to be a different kind of year.
