We tumbled together as gymnists in the Kindergarten Circus.
We chanted "silver platter" at the grey-haired Briarcliff softball coach we coudln't stand.
We smoked pixy sticks cigarettes and teased about girls who showed up the Pleasantville Pool in red patent leather outfits.
We played games to guess siblings.
We played pool in the basement of your old house.
We walked to A&S to get sun chips.
We threw the koosh ball around for hours just chatting.
We baked pigs in a blanket and chocolate cookies.
We sang along to Sweet Home Alabama.
And then, we- the way we had always been- was gone.
I can't tell you enough how glad I am you're back, perhaps not fully, but I'll take what I can get.
I love you.
always,
"your bell"
